Research and case studies.
Dr. Hajela was lead presenter of this clinical case study, a randomized controlled pilot trial of the Smart Therapy™ Complete Solution with Parkinson’s patients in rural Fresno County. It was presented at APTA’s Combined Sections Meeting in February 2026.
Patients in the immersive therapy group did 20 minutes of exercise across three games per session, twice a week for three weeks. That group showed a significant improvement in dynamic balance. It was a small pilot, and the authors recommend larger, longer trials to look at fatigue and freezing of gait.

Bring immersive therapy to your team.
Neuromersive makes immersive therapy for physical, occupational, and neuro rehab. With the Smart Therapy™ Complete Solution, the patient wears a headset and the therapist runs the session from a tablet, seeing what the patient sees and adjusting each activity as they go. It’s FDA-registered and HIPAA-compliant.
