Recently, we kicked off a new event series focused on letting our clinicians who are using the system daily to literally ask us anything! These calls allow clinicians to also meet each other, discuss ideas, and even be used to create treatment plans collectively using the XR Therapy System.

Neuro Rehab VR was selected from a field of over 800 applicants and 18 finalists to win the National Innovation Challenge Award for Readiness at the 2022 Defense TechConnect Innovation and Summit Expo held near Washington, D.C. The prize, given to the top 5 companies in the Readiness category, includes $10,000 in non-dilutive funding, an invitation to a business consortium to work with leaders from federal agencies and providers and access to more than $50 billion in prototype-level contracting authority for government customers.

We had the privilege of speaking with James Edwards, Director of Rehabilitation at St Bernards Villa, who has been using the XR Therapy System across a myriad of patients and treatment profiles for the last 6 months providing almost 500 VR therapy exercises to patients. Mr. Edwards has been practicing as a Physical Therapist for thirteen years, is board certified in Geriatrics and Vestibular Rehabilitation and has served as the Director of Rehabilitation at St. Bernards Villa for the last seven years. He is also certified in Power Moves and Lee Silverman Voice Techniques (LSVT) which are both heavily utilized in Parkinson’s Disease treatment protocols. With all of these credentials and his current hands on experience, we were pleased to have the opportunity to ask Mr. Edwards some questions and share his experiences with the XR Therapy System.

Despite the many challenges of 2020, this year has been a huge growing point for our company and efforts to supply the best VR solution with our, XR Therapy system. Seeing clinicians in all settings using virtual reality is a dream come true, and seeing the greater amount of adopters and believers in VR testifies to the efficacy and versatility of this technology. The icing on the cake of these amazing opportunities is the fact that we get to work with more clinicians on furthering our XR therapy system to be based on actual feedback and anecdotal findings with multiple different therapists.
